About Our Founder 

Callidus Preschool is founded by Mrs Claire Ng, who has a great passion in early childhood education. She holds a masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College, Boston, U.S.A., an honours degree in Economics from the University of London, and a Specialist Diploma in Teaching and Leadership of Early Childhood Care and Education from SEED Institute. 

As a parent of three children, Mrs Ng is a firm believer in the importance of early childhood education as she has witnessed how the great difference between a good and poor quality preschool education had impacted in her children's lives. After gathering years of working experience as a teacher and leader in the early childhood education, she decided to contribute to the early childhood education in Singapore by setting up Callidus Preschool.

About Our School

Our curricular approach is founded on the research and theories of reputed child development theorists: Jean Piaget’s cognitive-developmental theory, Lev Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory, Urie Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory and Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences theory.

Our program focuses on child-centered education, where children are encouraged to be active and independent learners, regardless of their individual uniqueness of age, gender, culture, temperament, and learning style.

Our Playgroup, Nursery & Kindergarten Programs

Our integrated bilingual programs aims to develop every child into a confident, passionate and independent learner. 

By recognizing and respecting every child’s needs to learn at their own pace, and their unique talents, we aim to be responsive in our pedagogy by customizing our teaching instructions, and providing a diverse range of activities to suit their individual needs and interests.

Our education programs are holistic and child-centered and are aligned with the underlying principles from the  Ministry of  Education’s Curriculum Framework for Kindergarten, namely:
